  1. (32:1-14) The Reubenites and Gadites ask for the land east of the Jordan.
  2. (32:15-32) Moses agrees to their request after Reuben, Gad, and half of the tribe of Menasseh promise to participate in the conquest of Canaan.
  3. (33:1-49) The Israelites’ wilderness wanderings, beginning with Rameses in Egypt up to the steppes of Moab across the Jordan from Jericho.
