CURRENT DONATION DRIVES

Coat and Warm Clothing Drive – Through December 15 – Many people in Santa Clara County are truly cold at this time of year and don’t have adequate clothing to get themselves warm. Please look through your closets and drawers for warm items: coats, sweaters, socks and other warm clothing plus sleeping bags and blankets. Some congregants shop at thrift stores for these items to donate.  Bring them to CBD or the JCC and deposit them in the front hall receptacle. The Tikun Olam Team will be delivering them where they will be given away at no cost to the recipient.

On Going in the Community

Know someone with a new addition to the family?
Shalom Baby has special gifts to welcome newborns into our Jewish community! If you or someone you know has had a baby in the last 6 months, let PJ Library know and we will arrange a special goody-filled delivery. Click here to get started

Become a JFS Friendly Visitor – Make A Real Difference in the Life of An Isolated Senior!
As we put our best foot forward during this new Jewish year of 5780, consider taking action to enrich your life and the life of others.  JFS is in need of empathetic and committed volunteers to become Friendly Visitors.  A JFS Friendly Visitor is matched up with an isolated senior for a weekly or every other week visit and they form lasting friendships with the senior. Our Friendly Visitors say that they get so much more than they give. Contact Lori Cinnamon at loric@jfssv.org.
