- (14) Five Canaanite kings rebel against the King of Elam. A coalition of four eastern kings moves to punish the rebels. In the battles between the two factions, Lot, Abram’s nephew, is captured. Abram arms his followers in order to rescue his nephew.
- (15) God makes a covenant with Abram renewing the promise of progeny and land. During the covenant ceremony, God tells Abram that his descendants will be exiled, but will be redeemed and return to the land. God gives the boundaries of the Promised Land and lists its peoples.
