- (25:29-14) Laws related to the Jubilee year, which came every 50 years, when all land is returned to its original owners.
- (25:35-38) The commandment to help an Israelite or resident alien who becomes impoverished, by loaning him money at no interest.
- (25:39-55) Laws governing slaves, limiting the power of the owner over the slave and increasing the number of ways he could be freed, all this because “the Israelites are My slaves.”
- (26:1-2) Laws against idolatry and for the observance of the Shabbat.
