New Benches at Beth David

Congratulations to our Erin Handelsman for earning the rank of Eagle Scout and also earning the Nir Tamid Emblem with the support of Rabbi Roller.

It is with great pride and joy that Erin Handelsman announces the delivery of four handmade benches to beautify our shul and to provide conversational areas for our members once we return to the building.  With the support of the Congregation Beth David Community, BSA Scouts, friends, her family, and the help of 18 other workers,  putting in 180 working hours over 45 days, Erin and her team fabricated and delivered these redwood benches.

Thank you to Erin and all who encouraged and supported her, keeping her inspired and motivated to build something of value to benefit our congregation.

With all the generous donations that poured in, Erin donated the remaining Scout balance of $180 to Congregation Beth David for Youth Activities, so teens can continue to enjoy learning and experiencing fun times together.

A big thank you to Rabbi Alpert, Rabbi Roller, and Michael Bierman for the support on her Eagle project, mentoring in the teen program, and helping her give back to our shul.
