Honoring Our Elders
In the book of Leviticus, the Torah informs us of our responsibility to honor the elders of our community. The Social Action Committee would like to help each of us embrace this important mitzvah.
We are looking for members interested in volunteering to visit other members who are homebound and unable to interact with our community on a regular basis. Each volunteer would visit a congregant once or twice a month.
We will be having a training session led by Rabbi Ohriner and Avital Agam
from Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley on:
Sunday, October 23rd from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Beth David
