Reception Following Performance
From Darkness to Light explores the power of music to transform lives and help us all through difficult times. This concert is dedicated to the memory of Beverly Auerbach Pressman, wife of Rabbi Daniel Pressman and former member of Schola Cantorum.
Schola Cantorum (Gregory Wait, Music Director) is a 90 voice chorus and is celebrating their 47th season of making music. The singers will be joined by Stephen Harrison, cello, and on the program is a selection of beautiful music, including choruses from the Verdi Requiem, “Sleep” by Eric Whitacre, ”Holocaust Cantata: Songs from the Camps” by Donald McCullough, and other exquisite choral works.
The singers have been profoundly moved by this music in their rehearsals and feel sure that the audience will also appreciate the beauty of this special afternoon.
