Knitzvah a Mitzvah!
Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
With Jewish Family Services, at the Levy Family Campus
14855 Oka Road, Los Gatos
Designed for children 4-7 years old, this program brings together PJ Library participants and Knitzvah volunteers from Jewish Family Service for an afternoon of knitting crafts on behalf of needy children in the San José community. Participants will learn about the wonderful organization, Knitzvah, and their projects to help children, newborns and seniors. Each child will make two yarn crafts, one to take home and one to donate to Knitzvah for children in our community. It’s an opportunity to have fun and do a good deed at the same time. There will also be the usual story time, songs and snack! Younger siblings are welcome.
RSVP by January 26. Participants are asked to consider bringing a new or gently used child’s backpack to donate to a Children’s Shelter.
