We are pleased to announce that at the congregation meeting earlier this week, the membership overwhelmingly voted to accept Rabbi Philip Ohriner as our new assistant rabbi. The second motion on the ballot – to open the window for the timing of the annual membership meeting to November 1 to December 23 also passed by a wide margin.
Rabbi Ohriner will officially be starting his duties at Beth David as of August 1st. Rabbi and his family have purchased a house within easy walking distance to the shul. They will be starting to move in around the middle of July.
Various welcome activities are being planned for early August. More details will follow shortly. An official investiture is scheduled for October 23rd. Please mark your calendar and plan to join us.
