2010 Annual Campaign Appeal

12-Aug-10

This year has been a time of transition for Beth David. With sadness, we said goodbye to Rabbi Schonbrun and his family, but welcome Rabbi Ohriner, Shoshana, and Aryeh. We’ve weathered stormy economic seas, and worked hard to keep our ship afloat and on course. Your generous contributions to last year’s annual campaign, along with directed donations and helping hands, have enabled Beth David to:

v Match a grant for
   building security
   improvements
v Retire the cemetery-
    related mortgage,
    leaving us debt free!
v Retain necessary teachers
   for our Religious School
 v Hire Cantor Levy
    for the High Holy
    Days
 v Install a loop system
    for hearing-impaired
    members
 v Fund our Myuchad program
     for special needs students
 v Repair the parking
    lot
 v Purchase new lobby
    furniture
 v Fund teen scholarships
 v Purchase exterior
    storage units
 v Install a new
    heating/AC system
 v Enjoy a new deluxe-
    size Sukkah
 v Paint the building
   exterior
v Carpet the lobby and hallway

We need your help to keep sailing toward a bright future. The Annual Campaign is critical for Beth David. Typically, it funds 20-25% of our yearly operating budget, enabling the congregation to meet its financial obligations. The money we raise not only pays for core functions such as staff and facilities, but is essential to sustain programming, to support religious school education, and to enable Jews with limited income to become members of Beth David.

I hope you will join us in giving generously to the Annual Campaign. Your support ensures that we will continue the journey to fulfill Beth David’s mission: “to actively transform people’s Jewish lives through prayer, study and community.”

Sincerely yours,
Joanne Cornbleet
