“Demystifying the Mikvah,” an opportunity to learn about mikvahs and then take a tour of one. It will be held Sunday, July 18 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the Levy Family Campus in Los Gatos. Bring your questions and hear the answers and more. The event is free, but you must RSVP.

Author Jennifer Cornbleet will discuss raw foods and make some recipes from her new book, “Raw for Dessert.” Autographed copies will be available after the program. We will honor our Sisterhood Volunteers for the past year, with special appreciation for all our past Sisterhood Presidents.

Be sure to be a part of the “Farewell to Rabbi Schonbrun and his family” Memory Book project – our goal is to include something from every family!

Noten Yad is a new program focused on creating positive changes for our neighbors and ourselves that we define! We will listen to the personal concerns and stories of our fellow congregants and turn them into action both within Beth David and in our wider community.

We are holding meetings in the homes of fellow Beth David members, to discuss social issues that we believe require community action to improve.

Join us for a fun, energetic Shabbat experience – a service with song, story and dance – something for everyone!

Beth David Senior Kadima and Sinai Kadima for a Yom Ha’atzmaut Celebration!!The event will be open to all Jewish 7th-8th graders and now 6th graders as well! The event will be Sunday, April 18th at Congregation Sinai from 5pm-8pm. We will eat falafel and other Israeli food and drink, listen to Israeli music, watch an Israeli movie and possibly even do some Israeli dancing. The event cost is only $6 for Kadima members, and $10 for non-members. You do not have to be a member of Beth-David or Sinai to attend. Hope to see you at this fun event!
   

If possible, all hametz – food not acceptable during Pesah (Passover), or materials containing such unacceptable food – should be destroyed or given away before the holiday begins. Should this be impossible, the hametz may be stored in such a way that we are sure not to use it during the holiday and its actual ownership is transferred to a non-Jew until the holiday ends. Please complete the attached form and return to the CBD office no later than noon March 25, 2010.
