Sustaining Funds

$ .00 General Fund

A donation to the General Fund directly allows your donation to be put towards the area of greatest immediate need of the organization. This includes everything from general operations to building maintenance, and subsidizes the majority of our Religious School and Youth program costs as well as adult programming.

$ .00 Congregation Beth David General Endowment

Gifts to the General Endowment Fund help build our endowed resources to provide long term financial stability for the congregation.

$ .00 Clergy Housing Endowment Fund

The Clergy Housing Endowment Fund is used to provide housing support for our clergy. Established as an endowment to ensure that our solution to the high cost of housing is permanent, the endowment may only be used to provide housing assistance through means that preserve the value of the fund.

Discretionary Funds

Discretionary funds are for use by and at the discretion of the party to whom they are donated for charitable purposes.

Ritual Funds

$ .00 Kiddush/Oneg Fund

Donations to this fund are used to provide funds for the Friday Night Oneg Shabbat and for the Saturday Morning Kiddush Lunch. The fund will be administered by the Ritual Committee and will be used to provide Oneg and Kiddush support for weeks when there is not an otherwise sponsored Oneg or Kiddush.

Donations to this fund are used to purchase and maintain ritual books, including Siddurim, Humashim, Megillot and our Torah scrolls. The fund will also be used to provide Siddurim to children of members who are in the 3rd Grade and Humashim to children of members who are in the 6th Grade. The Bible and Siddur fund is administered by the Ritual Committee.

Prayer Book Donation (minimum as noted):

These funds are used to purchase a prayer book in honor or memory of a loved one.

Educational Funds

Donations to this fund assists with paying for Religious School and Hebrew High fees for children of Beth David members.

Donations to this fund help support our Myuchad education program for children with special needs.

$ .00 March of the Living Scholarship Fun

Donations to this fund provides scholarships to assist Congregation Beth David teens that want to go on the March of the Living program.

Alternative Restricted Funds

$ .00 Miriam Gannes Memorial Reading Program

Donations to this fund help support this program to encourage our children to read books related to Judaism and Jewish History.

Donations to this fund help provide resources for special programs of the Religious School.

$ .00 Silver-Sabes-Frank Youth Scholarship and Activities Fund

Donations to this fund are used to provide scholarships for Youth activities.

Donations to this fund are used to provide extra educational programs for young adults in the 13 to 22 year age group.

Donations to this fund aids students wishing to go to camp. Aid is not based on academic results or activities, but, rather to awaken a student's Jewish identity. We seek to capture and light the spirit of Judaism in our youth, especially those who may seem apathetic about Jewish activities.

Donations to this fund provides college scholarships for children of members who are emigres to the United States.

$ .00 Milton Itzkowitz Émigré Support Fund

Donations to this fund are used to support programs, religious school tuition, fees, dues etc. for Jewish emigres. This fund is administered by the Finance Committee.
