Who Can Vote?
All CBD members in good standing are eligible to vote at the Annual Meeting. In order to conduct business, we need a quorum of 75 eligible members to be physically present. Our bylaws define an eligible member as one whose financial obligations are not more than 120 days in arrears or who have made satisfactory financial arrangements with the Finance and Budget Committee. If you have a family membership, both spouses can vote and are counted toward the quorum. Please note that proxy votes are not allowed.
Can I Vote Absentee?
We hope you will attend in person to help make the quorum. If you cannot attend in person but would like to vote for officers or on specific motions, you can pick up a ballot from the synagogue office after December 1st. We can count your vote only if it’s properly filled out, signed, and returned to the office by noon on Friday, December 16th.
